CrossLink for Smartsheet — Trial note
This note is about the hosted trial of CrossLink for Smartsheet: what the trial site keeps about your account while you use it, and what happens when the trial ends.
Where the trial runs
The trial runs on a CrossLink for Smartsheet installation that PowerGraph operates in its own Azure subscription and shares among the people trialing it. It is locked the way a customer's installation is: PowerGraph can restart it, read its logs and delete it, and holds no key to its stored records.
Your Sheets
You don't need any Sheets of your own: the demo workspace comes with sample data. You can use a separate Smartsheet account for the trial, such as a free Smartsheet trial account; give us its address before your trial starts.
You connect with your own Smartsheet account. We share a demo workspace with that account, and you may also link Sheets of your own.
The CrossLink column described in the help page isn't available on the trial site: a column titled CrossLink stays empty there.
What the trial site holds while the trial runs
- Your Smartsheet sign-in, stored in encrypted form. While it is stored, CrossLink can read the Sheets your Smartsheet account can open and change the ones it can edit.
- Your Smartsheet user ID and email address.
- For each link you make: the names of its two Sheets, its two Rows and its date columns, and the dates CrossLink compares.
- A record of each date you Accept, with your name, your email address, the time, and the old and new dates.
- Change-watches in your Smartsheet account, one on each Giver Sheet you link, which tell the trial site when that Sheet changes.
- If you turn on the daily email, that setting.
What other people trialing can see of you
The trial site shares one Tier among everyone trialing it. Other people using the site can see how much of that Tier is in use: the number of Sheets linked on the site by everyone together, yours included. They can't see anything else about you — not your links, the names of your Sheets or Rows, your Accept records, your email address, or your settings.
How the trial ends
Your trial's end date is in your welcome email, and we write to you before it. Nothing ends a trial on its own.
At the end, PowerGraph removes your links and their Accept records, your stored Smartsheet sign-in, your daily email setting and the change-watches CrossLink created in your Smartsheet account — including when you have already deleted all your links; removes your address from the site's list of who may connect; and deletes the demo workspace shared with you. Dates you Accepted into your own Sheets stay in those Sheets.
You may also choose Disconnect, in the menu at the top of the trial site, at any time. Disconnect removes the change-watches CrossLink created for the trial site, cancels your sign-in with Smartsheet, and deletes it from the trial site; your links stay until the trial ends.
What stays after the trial ends
- The trial site's change log. The trial site stores a log of changes to who may connect. Lines
about you show your email address shortened to its first letter and domain (for example
p***@example.com), with the time: when your address was added and removed, when your links were removed and how many, when a sign-in from your address was refused, and, if you used Disconnect, your Smartsheet user ID and how many change-watches it removed. PowerGraph can't read or change this log, except that the site's administrators see the email domain and time of the most recent refused sign-in. The log is deleted when PowerGraph replaces the trial site, at least once a year. - The trial site's logs, which can include your Smartsheet user ID, the IDs of Sheets CrossLink worked with, and error messages Smartsheet returned. Logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted.
- PowerGraph's own trial record: your email address, the demo workspace's name, and your trial's dates.
Billing
Nothing is billed to you for the trial.
